A PSS is comprised of 7 key capabilities: 

1. An active Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), which is fitted to the near side of the vehicle and alerts the driver to the presence of vulnerable road users, such as cyclists.   
2. A Moving Off Information System (MOIS) to detect the presence of pedestrians and cyclists in the close proximity forward blind spot of HGVs and alert the driver to their presence.  
3. A Camera Monitoring System (CMS) fitted to the nearside of the vehicle, to eliminate the nearside blind-spot. This can be used to replace the mirrors. If you do not replace the mirrors with a CMS, the class V and VI mirrors should be fitted to the front and nearside of the vehicle.   
4. Side underrun protection, if practical.   
5. Audible warning alarms that alert other road users that the vehicle is turning left (or turning right, for left-hand drive).   
6. Warning signs, at least A3 size, to alert the other road users of the hazards around the vehicle.   

Our PSS solution can also be connected to one of our MDVR pieces to enable you to record any incidents.
